University

I attended Imperial College in London, England, one of the top three universities in the country. I received 1st class honors in a Masters in Computing. The course I took was focused on giving a fundamental understanding of computer technology and software rather than teaching us specifics of one language. This has the advantage that I can apply this knowledge to many languages and frameworks so pick them up easily.

While at university I completed many projects, the biggest of which was my final year project. This was a 3D modelling and visualisation system for clay pigeon shooting. I created a unique modelling of pellet and clay using splines to give accurate, highly efficient, predictable object motion and collision detection. This allowed me to add features such as replay, clay prediction and gun tracking for use as a teaching tool. This system won me the Imperial College Computing MEng Project Prize. Please see the attached project report for details.

I had several other major projects which at university which included a graphics engine, internet trading game, Minix debugger and a distributed Linux policy manager. These were both individual and group projects. Some of the courses I took included hardware, software engineering, compilers, simulation and modeling, database, operating systems, distributed systems and graphics.
